Hulk: I want to be like Ronaldo

Porto striker Hulk admits he would not pass up a new challenge in his career as he seeks to follow in the footsteps of his hero Ronaldo.

The 25-year-old has become one of the most sought-after players in Europe after becoming an integral part of Porto s squad since joining the club from Japanese side Tokyo Verdy in 2008.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have all been credited with an interest in Hulk, who has refused to rule out a future transfer.

Any player is always ready for a new challenge, Hulk told Goal.com.

Questioned about his favourite league, the nine-cap Brazilian could not choose between La Liga, the Bundesliga and the Premier League.

The atmosphere in these leagues is amazing and the fans really make the matches more exciting, he said.

Hulk went on to reveal that he saw Brazil legend Ronaldo as an inspiration when he was little.

He was always my hero and the player I admired the most. Growing up, I always wanted to be just like him, he said.

The powerful striker then offered his backing to Fredy Guarin, who joined Inter on loan in January after becoming frustrated with his lack of opportunities at the Estadio do Dragao under coach Vitor Pereira.

Guarin is a good player and I think he made the right choice to join Inter, because he had not been playing regularly at Porto for a while, he said.

Since moving to Porto four years ago, Hulk has made over 150 competitive appearances for the Dragoes, scoring almost 70 goals.
